Kiddie Park History
Kiddie Park opened during the Golden Age of Amusement Parks and has been entertaining kids in San Antonio since 1925. Kiddie Park is the oldest children’s amusement park in the United States.
Because Kiddie Park is an important part of local history, our goal is to give kids the chance to enjoy the park’s 1920′s era rides, including an original Herschell Spillman carousel, made in 1918.
A new chapter for Kiddie Park began with it’s reopening on September 5, 2009. We have modernized the park with numerous renovations, such as new restrooms, a new office, and a new grand entrance, while maintaining its old fashioned flair. We are so pleased to bring San Antonio’s iconic park back to life. You can expect a clean, beautiful park that is fun and affordable for the entire family!
